Annie Thornton, an English midwife and hereditary witch, married to Adam, owner of a 500-year-old inn, has a problem. Her husband suggests she invite her Aunt Meg for Christmas, not knowing Meg lives in the 15th century.
When Annie shares that she has travelled through time, Adam laughs. To prove that she has visited different eras, Annie invites her friends from former times for Christmas in 21st-century Yorkshire.
She looks forward to a Christmas filled with love and joy; instead, her life descends into intrigue, deceit and a Christmas Day spiralling into chaos. Someone is scheming to thwart her carefully laid plans.
Who is the plotter and why are other guests at the inn involved? Can her Aunt Meg use her witchy magic to unravel the web of lies? If not, Annie’s marriage may be in jeopardy.
