Amidst a QuinnTessential Records meeting about its struggling subsidiary, Quicksilver, Sophie is propelled to the centre of a plan set in motion: the search for elusive Irish rock journeyman Leonard Fagan. Since his break-up with one-time band member and lover Aideen Brennan, six years have passed without a single note written by his hand. Aideen, meanwhile, has flourished into a successful solo artist. As events reveal a conflict that dates back even further, Sophie must navigate her career, the dynamics of the music business and the intricacies of human relationships. And then there is up-and-comer Casey, incidentally Aideen's cousin, assigned to help her with the search... As the destinies of Sophie, Casey, Leonard and Aideen intertwine, secrets unravel, casting light on the shadows of the past.
