Derek Valley, affectionately known as Mr. Total Local, was born and raised in the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago. His humble beginnings were as a hand painter and creator of custom jewelry. Now, he is the world's largest producer of custom-made Trinidad and Tobago t-shirts. In addition, he is the proud owner of 16 souvenir stores throughout the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, and Grenada. Derek has always prided himself on diving into and promoting Caribbean culture and heritage internationally. This is his latest method of preserving and disseminating our culture to the next generation.
