Deborah Frieda (Dorothy) Zeligs (1901-1994) was a Jewish-American historian who specialized in histories of Judaism for children. A History of Jewish Life in Modern Times covers the period beginning in the 16th century through 1947 -- just after World War II but before the founding of Israel.
