To ignorant pretenders to Surgery and Medicine we award our contempt and scorn; on time-serving or treacherous Counsellors, and on cruel or partial Jud es, we inflict our detest ation and abhorrence; whi e, on rapacious, corrupt, perfidious, or tyrannical Statesmen and Legislators, the voice of human nature cries aloud for execration and vengeance.
