Kids will love getting ready to celebrate Independence Day by making a variety of red, white, and blue crafts! Perfect to celebrate the 4th of July, each craft includes step-by-step instructions, a list of needed materials, and a photograph of each finished craft. Make “crafting time” a “teaching time” by explaining that on July 4, 1776, the thirteen colonies claimed their independence from England, which later led to the formation of The United States of America! Did you know that on July 2, 1776 John Hancock was the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence? Each year on July 4th, Americans celebrate this historic event with picnics, parades, family reunions, barbeques, fireworks, and baseball games. These bright, fun crafts are perfect for young children to make and to use to decorate at home or at school.
