I met Ms. Dexter when she participated in one of my writing classes at Connecticut College. Her flair for description enthralled her fellow students and her blend of humor and intellect invigorated her thesis: an account of her daily life in Malta. At that time I encouraged her to develop her memories into a more extensive chronicle, and it is with gratification that I now unite with other readers to enjoy the work of this talented writer.
